(special thanks to LC-NW for the following info) There's a Deborah Yates who was born in Bermuda per the U.S. Federal Census Mortality Schedules, 1850-1885 located on Ancestry.com. The death date for someone of the same name on Ancestry's South Carolina, Death Records, 1821-1960 shows "7 April 1850" however, when looking at the image for the same record on Ancestry, it shows it's a mortality list for several dates (April 7-13, 1850), and the same image is not clear as far as what specific date she died on. However, the same record image shows that this Deborah Yates was interred at First Baptist cemetery which matches this findagrave.com record for a woman of the same name who also died in April 1850, but it shows that her headstone indicates that she died on April 12, 1850, not April 7th as Ancestry's record incorrectly indicates. Taking that into account, Ancestry's record for the U.S. Federal Census Mortality Schedules, 1850-1885 shows "Deborah Yates" who died in April 1850 in Charleston was born in Bermuda. The fact that she is buried in the same graveyard as Seth Yates (also born in Bermuda), I am inclined to believe with certainty that this Deborah Yates was the same who as born in Bermuda, and was probably the wife of Sanmuel Yates, Seth's brother. If that's the case then her maiden name was "Clark". In addition, I've sent a correction request to Ancestry.com to get her date of death corrected on their transcription page for the South Carolina, Death Records, 1821-1960 since it shows "7 April 1850" but the image record never indicates the exact day in which she died, only that it was between April 7th & 13th and that she died of old age and was buried at First Baptist.
