Sam's parents were Sam A. Richardson and Elizabeth Geitsel. He married Annette Latimer 11/19/1960, daughter of William "Will" Dan Latimer Sr and Ettie Penina Connor. He was a Fort Worth, Texas contractor. There were no children from this marriage.

THE PARIS NEWS, (Date of obituary not available): 'Sam Allen Richardson, 67, of 707 West Sherman, died 21 Nov 1973, in a local hospital. Funeral services were held 23 Nov, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eric McQuitty officiating. Interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery. Richardson was born 10 Mar 1906, in Colorado Springs, Colo., a son of Sam A. and Elizabeth Gietsel Richardson. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the US Navy for 26 years. He was a retired contractor. He married the former Mrs. Virginia Annette Latimer DeBusk on 19 Nov 1960. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Worth. His wife is the only immediate survivor.'
