Conway Dec 5 Funeral services for J. Otis Dix, 67, farmer of the Jordanville section of Horry County were held Wednesday afternoon. The body of Mr. Dix was found late Monday evening near his home, he having disappeared from the home only a short time before.
After the body was examined by a physician and it was apparent that death was from natural causes, no inquest was deemed necessary.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Dix, three sons Noah, Coleman, and William Dix, and two daughters Misses Carrie and Lilly Dix. Other survivors are John B. Dix, a brother, coroner elect of the county. Another brother Clyde Dix, and three sisters Mrs. Martha Capps and Mrs. Joe Small and Mrs. Isobel Richardson.
