GASTONIA - Frances Delia Cherry, 67, died Friday Jan. 30, 2009, at Belaire Health Care Center, where she had been a resident for the past three years.
The daughter of the late Magdalene Roof Cherry and Ralph Boyd Cherry, Frances was a native and lifetime resident of Gastonia.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Cherry Criminger.
Frances is survived by a sister, Irene Cherry of Gastonia; two brothers, William D. Cherry of Sebastion, Fla.: brother and sister-in-law James R. and Peyton Cherry of Eden, N.C.; a niece, Jennifer Cherry Cleere of Atlanta, Ga.; two nephews and spouses, James Ashley and Melissa Cherry of Marion, N.C., Brittain King Cherry and Lauren Cherry of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday Feb. 3, 2009, at The Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia with Dr. John L. Frye Jr. officiating.
Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park.
