MORRISONVILLE — Russell J. Daust, 80, of the Flat Rock Road, Morrisonville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at his home. He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on April 4, 1928, the son of Henry and Evelyn (Duval) Daust.
Russell enjoyed playing the accordion, fishing, hunting, photographing nature and teaching his nieces and nephews how to fish.
He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Evelyn Daust; his wife, Beulah Daust; and several siblings.
Russell is survived by a brother, Robert Daust, and his wife, Gladys of Morrisonville; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, N.Y.
A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. William G. Reamer, chaplain at CVPH Medical Center, officiating.
Interment will be at a later date at St. Alexander's Cemetery.
