23 AUG 2022 SAC to expand LOB~ James William Lancaster, 79 year old Wagoner resident died Thursday, July 30, 1960 in Wagoner Hospital of a stroke. He had been ill a few days prior to being hospitalized.
A native of Luka, (sic) Arkansas, he came to Oklahoma in 1903 and settled in Prague. In 1911, he came to Wagoner where he was a farmer before his retirement and for 17 years was the sexton of the Elmwood Cemetery. He was a member of the Wagoner Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are his wife, Arra, of the home; four sons, Euel and Arch Lancaster both of Wagoner, Virgil , of Tulsa, and Eston of Florida; two daughters, Mrs Eula Mae Jobe, Muskogee and Mrs Estol Pearl Techau, of Wagoner, and Fannie Foster, Madera, California, 25 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Hersman Chapel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Hersman Funeral Home, Wagoner. Pallbearers will be Walker Jones, Jack Semore, Walter Sleeper, John Gephart, Glenn Peters and Darryl Smith.
