A homemaker and a resident of Plaquemine, she died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, surrounded by her family. She was 72. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, on Tuesday, Jan. 13, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 9:40 a.m. Religious service at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine, at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Cleo Milano. Interment in Grace Memorial Cemetery. Survived by her husband, Leo J. Leblanc; daughter, Cathy Leblanc Guy and husband Chauncey Wade; son, Christopher "Casey" Leblanc; three grandchildren, Benjamin Michael Leblanc, Rebecca Danielle Leblanc and Matthew Joseph Leblanc; and stepgrandson, Chauncey Steven Guy. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Velma Mire; and daughter, Marrie Leblanc Graham. She was a 1955 graduate of Port Allen High School.
