Born March, 2, 1953, resident of Nevada for 50 years. Key was an irreplaceable individual who touched the lives of people from all walks of life along the way. He enjoyed life in a way most people are too scared to. Key lived the life of a cowboy in Jordan, Mont.

He co-captained Gorman High School to its first state championship in 1970. He helped coach The Meadows School to its first football championship 26 years later. Key was an admired casino general manager at Binion's Horseshoe.

His passion for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors led him to Alaska. We lost him while he was on route to Texas to begin his next pursuit of team roping. Of all of his adventures and accomplishments in life, Key would be most proud of his two children- TJ and Fancy- who miss their Dad so much.

Key was preceded in death by his father, Key Fechser; and his mother, Barbara Binion. He is survived by his son T.J. Fechser; and his daughter, Fancy Fechser-De Leon.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at the Rampart Casino, in Marquis rooms 1 and 2. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to the endowment in his memory at The Meadows School, 8601 Scholar Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89128. Please specify in memory of Key Fechser.
