Funeral Rites To Be Wednesday
George A Risinger, 90, died at 2;10 a.m. Monday at his home, on North Lincoln street. He had been in failing health since May and seriously ill the past two weeks. He died on his 90th birthday anniversary.
Mr Risinger was born September 3, 1855, five miles east of Napoleon, the son of Conrad and Nancy Lutz Risinger. On April 2, 1882, he was married to Sarah Amelia Dashiell at the homeplace. They lived in Ripley county until 1927 when they moved to the present home north of Greensburg. Mrs Risinger preceded him in death Oct 13, 1943. Mr Risinger was a farmer and stock buyer, taking stock to the Cincinnati markets. He was also a well-driller and had dug many wells in Ripley and Franklin counties. He was last of a family of 11 children.
Surviving are three children: Noah Risinger, of near Napoleon, Mrs Flora Day, of Greensburg, and Mrs Clarence (Mary) Hansel, of Chalmers, Ind.; seven granchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Howe funeral home, where friends may call at any time. The Rev E F Schneider will officiate. Burial will be made in South Park cemetery.
