James Edward Dollins, 53, of Fulton passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at University Hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

James was born on June 16, 1955, in Louisiana, Mo., to Grady and Mildred Griggs Dollins, and they preceded him in death. He was married to Donna Myers on July 8, 1977, in Columbia.

He was a 1974 graduate of Hickman High School and a 1976 graduate of Linn State Technical College. He had been employed at the University of Missouri for most of his life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Fulton.

James is survived by his daughters, Michelle Wilson and husband Terry of Lawson, and Jennifer Huffman and husband Phillip of Excelsior Springs; grandchildren Brandon, Christian, Cheyenne, Christopher and Alexander Wilson and Caleb Huffman; along with many other loving family members.
