Mrs. Jones was up town doing some trading during the afternoon and on her return home prepared supper for the family. At that time she did not complain of feeling ill and later in the evening, about 9 o'clock she remarked to her son, Otto, that she was suffering with a headache.
Before the son could offer any assistance his mother fell from her chair to the floor in an unconscious condition. Dr. Mott responded hastily to the call but was unable to render any aid, the attack of heart failure being acute and the victim beyond the reach of medicine.
Mrs. Jones was born in Ohio, June 23, 1864, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hawkins. She was married to William Jones on Feb. 2, 1882 and to their union ten children were born, eight of whom are living. They are Mrs. Charles Noe, of Sheridan; Mrs. Jasper Smith, Riley, Samuel, Ora, Elmer, Veryl and Otto.
The funeral services will be conducted at the church at South R and Nineteenth streets, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. George Mason and the burial will be in the city cemetery.
