Garrett F. Barry is the son of John and Mary Barry.

Obituary from the Transcript-Telegram published August 27 1889:
Death of Garrett F. Barry
Garrett F. Barry, liquor dealer on Main street, died at his home last evening of pneumonia. A week ago yesterday Mr. and Mrs. Barry left this city for Poughkeepsie. When they returned Thursday, Mr. Barry was suffering from what he considered a slight cold. A physician was summoned and Saturday the ailment was pronouced pneumonia. Since then Mr. Barry sank rapidly dissolution occuring at 7:30 o`clock last evening.
Garrett F. Barry was born in Ireland 40 years ago. He emigrated with his parents to this country when he was but three years of age. The family settled to this city and have lived here ever since.
Young Barry was educated in the public school. After a course in the High school, he learned the machinist trade. He engaged in the liquor business about 15 years ago. He leaves a wife and two children.
The funeral will be held from the Sacred Heart church at 9 o`clock tomorrow morning and the interment will be in St. Jerome cemetery.
