James Thomas LaFell, age 51, of Troy, N.C., died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at his home. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glen Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in Biscoe Cemetery. He was a native of Cook County, Ill., and did home improvements.
Surviving are his sisers, Betty Parsons of Biscoe, N.C., DeAnne McHaffie of Saskatoon, Canada, Debbie Falco of Portland, Oregon; and brother, Eddie LaFell of West End, N.C.
