Betty Jean (Porter) Eads died at her residence Sunday afternoon.

Daughter of William Wesley and Ora Etta (Archer) Porter.

A homemaker, greatest mother and an avid golfer.

Won the Lady Seniors City Golf Championship in 1987.

Charter member and past president of Alpha Delta Omega Sorority of Bloomington.

Attended Gosport United Methodist Church.

Survivors include:
Husband of 56 years, Forrest (Jim) Eads;
1 daughter, Elaine of Bloomington;
3 sons and daughters-in-law, Stacy and Denise Eads of Conyers, Georgia, Steve and Sharon Eads of Bloomington and Mark and Ruth Eads of Bloomington.
8 grandchildren
3 great-grandchilden;
1 brother, Arthur Porter of McKinley, Texas;
2 sisters, Freda Noel and Norma Fuller, both of Bloomington.

Graveside services at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington, with her son, Pastor Steve Eads, presiding.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Bloomington, Gosport United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
