Thelma Marlene, three and a half year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Todd Shell, died at 11 o'clock last evening at the home of her parents north of Monrovia from scarlet fever and a heart ailment. She was ill only one day.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon from the home and will be private. The Rev. A.J. Hall, pastor of the Presbyterian church at Effingham, will officiate. Burial will be in the Effingham cemetery.
Surviving are the parents; a brother, Howard Wayne, one year old; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Shell of the Monrovia community, and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Lewis of the home.
Mrs. Todd Shell, who has been ill with scarlet fever, is convalescing.
