Freda Louise Lucas of Rossville died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at a local hospital. She was 63. She was born in Walker County to the late Fred and Martha McClure Hixon and was pre-ceded in death by her brother, Fred Franklin Hixon Jr. She was a member of Wallaceville Church of God in Chickamauga. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Lucas; children, Danny Cross, Michael Cross, Jimmy Lucas Jr., James L. Lucas, Judy Lucas, all of Rossville; brother, David Hixon of Chat-tanooga, Tenn.; sisters, Virginia Stephens of Rising Fawn, Nancy Evett, June Moore, Bertha Baxter, all of Rossville; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. Services: Saturday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. with Revs. Roy Cope and Vernon Jones officiating. Burial: Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. Visitation: Thursday, Feb. 15, after 3 p.m., and all day Friday, Feb. 16, at the funeral home. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
