Monticello - Mrs. Maud E. Sloat, wife of the Rev. Emmet Sloat, retired pastor of the Mongaup Valley Presbyterian Church, died yesterday after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at two p.m. at the Sloat residence. The Rev. Dr. William A. Crawford, pastor of the Monticello Presbyterian Church, the Rev. William Robinson, a retired English clergyman, and the Rev. Raymond Pinch of Bethel Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery here.

Mrs. Sloat was born here August first, 1871, a daughter of John F. and Harriet Weed Tymeson. Surviving are her husband; three sons, John of Monticello, Francis of Cranford, N.J., and Leslie of Glenside, N.J.; and five grandchildren.
