E. C. (Creed) Brown, 80, of Tigertown died Sunday, 20 Nov 1988, at McCuistion Medical Center. Services were held Tuesday, 22 Nov, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Short and the Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. Burial was in Tigertown Cemetery. Mr. Brown was born 21 Apr 1908, in Tigertown, a son of Forrest Brown and Cora Jane Wood Brown. He attended Tigertown schools and Patterson Commercial College in Paris. On 11 Feb 1931, he married Lora Dell Carnahan. He was a farmer and rancher and he owned and operated a grocery store in Tigertown. He was a member of the Tigertown United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Garth (Yvonne) Robinson of Tigertown; two grandchildren, Mrs. Charles (Laurie) Mallicote of Tigertown and Bryan Robinson of Tigertown; five great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Joe ( Edna) Collins of Paris; and a nephew, Joe Creed of Paris.
