Mr.D.,was loved by all of Pearl Jr.High School,students and teachers.And he loved all of his students and would always tease and joke with us. He was the best teacher ever.He will always be loved and never forgotten.



Mr. Joseph A. (Joe) Daniels, 52, died Friday, February 6, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Thursday, February 12, 2009, at Calvary Baptist Church in Jackson with interment in Natchez Trace Memorial Park.
Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home of Pearl is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 11, 2009, from 3 pm until 8 pm at Baldwin-Lee and Thursday from 9 am until 10 am at the Church.
Mr. Daniels was a graduate of MS College where he received a masters degree and was a Dean's Scholar, a member of Who's Who and Mortar Board. He served in the US Navy, Army and Air Force. Mr. Daniels worked with the Jackson Police Dept. for 10 years as a detective in the juvenile division and later became a career discovery teacher at Pearl Jr. High. He was member of the Victory Motorcycle Club and is preceded in death by his parents; Edwin Daniels and Betsy Burns and a sister, Glenda Broome Turnage.
He is survived by his wife, Terri Daniels of Brandon; son, Luke Daniels of Clinton; daughter, Rachel Shoemaker and husband, Brian of Brandon; step-daughter, Ryane Plaster of Brandon; brother, David Daniels of Tupelo; and grandchild, Kaleb Neal.
