Rosemary Ann Baack, 83, of Milford, passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005 at the Milford Nursing Home.

Services were held Wednesday, Aug 31. 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Milford, Msgr. Kenneth A. Seifried officiated the service.

Pallbearers included: Jim Baack, Evan VanderFeen, Ron Baack, Warren VanderFeen, Francis Baker, and Eric Wahlman.

Rosemary was buried in Calvary Cemetery at Milford.

Rosemary was born to Jacob and Anna (Herman) Fisch in Milford, on Oct. 29, 1921. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School through 10th grade and graduated from Milford High School in 1939.

In the 1930's during her teens she worked on an ice cream boat that sold ice cream at various shops on Lake Okoboji. She also sold tickets at the Strand Theater in Milford, and was a sales clerk at Palmer's Variety Store. It was while working at the theater she met the love of her life, Emory Baack whose parents ran the old Hix cafe next to the theater.

On Aug. 26, 1941 she married Emory Bacck in Milford.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, Rosary Alter Society and church circles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Emory in 1977; son, Dennis; sister, Marguerite Buchholz [Buckholtz]; and brother, Otto Fisch.

Rosemary is survived by two daughters: Maureen Welborn, and her husband Harold, of Gold Beach, Oregon, and Peggy Roberts, and her husband Jerry, of Spencer, four sons, Mick Baack and his wife, Jeannette of Milford, Mark Baack and his wife, Earline of Plano, TX, Richard Baack and his wife, Sheila of Plano, TX, Jim Baack and his wife Becky of Rochester, Minn., and daughter-in-law, Susan (Dennis) Bacck of Murphy, Texas, 17 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Surviving also is her brother, Bob [Robert] Fisch and his wife, Helen of San Diego, Calif.; and sister-in-law, Evelyn (Otto) Fisch of Norwalk, Calif.
