John Wolf died last Friay at 8 o'clock. He was sick only a few weks. He was aged 60 years, 3 months and 1 day. Burial at 2 o'clock Sunday agternoon. He was an honest and honorable man.

John W. Wolf, the son of Simon and Elizabeth Wolf, was born in Emerald township, Paulding county, Ohio, Jan. 19, 1857, and departed this life April 20, 1917, after about four weeks illness. He was aged 60 years, 3 months and 1 day. He wa baptized in infancy and confirmed in the Lutheran church the 21st of May, 1876, by Rev. John Snyder.
He was united in marriage to Eliza Jane Ankney, March 16th, 1879. To this union were born four sons and four daughters. Three sons and one daughter preceded him to the great beyond. He leaves to mourn his disparture one son, Charley W., three daughters, Anna E. Ferguson, Mary H. Wolf and Maggie C. Guilliam; nine grandchildren and one brother, Michael G. Wolf, and many other relatives and friends. The funeral services were conducted at the Zion Lutheran church by Rev. E. J. K. Schmidt. The remains were laid to rest in the Zion's Lutheran cemetery.
Two more hands are greatly folded Ohio a faithful father's breast, Two more feet, have ceased to wander Thru life's stormy wilderness; One more head has ceased its teaching, One more heart has ceased to beat.
