She was born to parents Henry Clay and Hallie (Taylor) Day in Conway, Mo. and was a Missouri resident for 55 years. She was a homemaker. She and her husband were bulk dealers for Phillips 66 for 44 years and had owned and operated the Blue Top Cafe in Lamar, Mo. for 26 years. She was also a member of the First Christian Church of Lamar. Barney and Hallie Eagon were married March 10, 1983 [sic. - correct year is 1934] in Buffalo, Mo.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Eagon of Carthage; one son, Michael Eagon of Jasper, Mo.; one brother, Ruben Day of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Services were held 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 at Lake Cemetery in Lamar. Graveside is also at Lake Cemetery in Lamar.
