Summerfield, Florida - Virginia Artman Lawson, age 63, went home to be with the LORD on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the Ocala Regional Medical Center.
Jenny was born to Clark D. Artman and Jean L. Artman on October 15, 1945 in Berwick, PA.
She moved to Belleview, Florida in 1954 and resided in Summerfield for 40 years.
Jenny retired from Leesburg Regional Hospital after 35 years of service.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jimmy Lawson; daughters, June Tate and Jodi Carver, both of Summerfield; brothers, twin brother, William F. "Bill" Artman, Belleview, Clark D. Artman, III, Summerfield, and Ray M. Artman, Ocklawaha, Florida; sisters, Marylee Ward, Darlington, Florida, Rebecca Reynolds, and Elizabeth Ferrelra, both of Ocala, Florida; grandchildren, Melinda Liller, Brandie Tate, Angela Carver, Brandon Tate and Rachel Cauthen, all of Summerfield; great-grandson, Noah Ham; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins still living in Florida, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Texas.
Jenny is preceded in death by her parents and both sets of grandparents.
Jenny will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 13, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Belleview, 6107 South East Agnew Road, with the Rev. Ronald S. Walker officiating.
Interment will follow at Crum Cemetery in Summerfield.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 12, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at HIERS-BAXLEY FUNERAL SERVICES, 5946 South East Robinson Road, Belleview, Florida.
