Donald H. Wolverton, age 85 of Holly, Michigan, died Dec. 27, 2008.
Funeral: Dryer Funeral Home, with military honors under the auspices of Hulet-Bravender Post #5587 VFW and Amel Schwartz Post #149 American Legion.
Donald Wolverton was born in Argentine on Sept. 5, 1923 the son of Harry and Lucy (Brower) Wolverton.
He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army.
He was formerly co-owner of Inter-Lakes Steel Products of White Lake and was a partner in several developments in Holly. He was a member of Hulet-Bravender Post #5587 VFW, Amel Schwartz Post # 149 American Legion, and the Holly Kiwanis Club.
Surviving were his wife Janet Wolverton; 3 children, Linda (Craig) Essmann of Fenton, Rene (David) Tinsman of Rockford, and Gary (Marilyn) Wolverton of Fenton; 6 grandchildren, Matthew Essmann, Kelly Pushman, Adam Tinsman, Avory Tinsman, Logan Wolverton, and Jamie Wolverton; 2 great-grandchildren, Carter and Cole Essmann; 2 sisters, Helen Morey of Swartz Creek and Margaret Smith of Swartz Creek; and brother Dick Wolverton of Linden.
Donald Wolverton was preceded in death by his brothers Ken, Harold, and Robert Wolverton.
