Thomas N. Fitzgerald- son of Thomas & Minnie Fitzgerald- served as the basis for "The Great Brain" character in the very popular loosely autobiographical children's book series from the 1970s by author/younger brother John D. Fitzgerald. He was preceded in death by brother John in May of 1988.
