Wynn died near Fayette County, Ohio, January 22, 1877, William S. Wynn, 81 years 3 months. Mr. Wynn was born in Loudon County, Virginia on October 22, 1795. He removed with his parents to Ohio in 1800, coming directly to Pike County when there were but few people in it, where he engaged in farming, trading, etc. He also taught school for a short time and served in the War of 1812. He received a pension for his military service.
He was married twice. His second wife who survives him, bore 13 children, 9 are still living.
Mr. Wynn was a resident of Pike County for 73 years. In the spring of 1873 he moved to Pickaway County, then to Fayette County.
