Funeral for Theresa Gay Hobbs, 44, of Chico was to be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Pleasant View Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Dimmitt and the Rev. Allen Henard officiating. Burial was to be at Thomas Cemetery.
Hobbs died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, in Decatur.

Born Sept. 5, 1964, in Fort Worth to Harold Dean and Barbara Ann (Baker) Long, she graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1983. She married John Lee Hobbs on April 7, 1984, in Alvord and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrya Hobbs and her parents.

She is survived by her husband; son, Jarrett Hobbs of Chico; daughter, Emily Hobbs of Bridgeport; sister, Becky Morrow and husband, Jerry, of Bridgeport; brothers, Terry Long and wife, Diann, of Bridgeport, Jerry Long and wife, Lisa, of Denton, Kenny Kramer of Fort Worth and David Long and wife, Peggy, of Fort Worth; sister-in-law, Mollie Kramer of Bridgeport; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were to be Aaron Kramer, Keith Long, Sam Merrell, Justin Knox, D.J. Thweatt, Rafael Medina, Tanner Reeves, Danny Price, Poli Tovar, Nathan Dawson, Jose Tovar and Isiah Gardea.

Memorials may be made to Cruising for a Cure Lung Cancer Alliance in care of First State Bank.
