Funeral Services For O. W. Johnson, 75, Held in Ephrata

EPHRATA, March 27 -- The funeral of O. W. Johnson who died Wednesday evening at a local hospital, was held Thursday at the graveside with the Rev. H. S. Randall in
charge.
Johnson was 75 years old and a native of California but came to Washington over 50 years ago. For the last 25 years he has lived in Grant county, the greater part of the time in Ephrata. Mr. Johnson had an interesting and varied life and at one time was a prominent political figure in the county and state.

O. W. Johnson Dies

O. W. (Bill) Johnson, pioneer of the west and old time citizen of the state of Washington and Grant county, died at the age of 75 years at the Goode hospital in Ephrata, at 6:15 in the morning, Wednesday, after many years of ill health and several weeks of complete paralysis.
Mr. Johnson was born in state of California and came to the state of Washington 53 years ago. For twenty-five years he has resided in Grant county and Ephrata.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. S. Randall at a grave side service in Ephrata cemetery on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock. Jenkins & Son were in charge of the arrangements and many beautiful floral offerings were in evidence.
Mr. Johnson had a long, interesting and varied life. A pioneer of the real sort; a faithful friend and a valient foe he was prominent in the political life of Grant county and the state for years and leaves many friends who mourn his passing.
