Mabel Ernestine Cole Ratliff, 86, of Printer, widow of Donald Mack Ratliff, died Thursday in McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital.
She was born Feb. 17, 1922, in Bevinsville.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Hall Funeral Home in Martin. Burial will be in Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel.
∼Mabel Ernestine Cole Ratliff, age 86, of Printer, Ky., widow of Donald Mack Ratliff, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2009, at the McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital, McDowell, Kentucky. She was born February 17, 1922, at Bevinsville, Ky., daughter of the late William James "Willie" Cole and Dora Bell Jones Cole. Mrs. Ratliff was a homemaker and a member of Allen First Baptist Church, Allen, Kentucky.
Survivors include one son, Terry Douglas Ratliff, Hunter, Ky., two daughters, Judith Sharon Ratliff Music, Hager Hill, Ky., Karen Lynn Ratliff Smith, Banner, Ky., three daughter-in-laws, Lula Ratliff, Dorothy Ratliff, Nancy Ratcliffe, one sister, Elizabeth Reynolds, Louisville, Ky., 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sons, Jack D. Ratcliffe and Gary Darwin Ratliff.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 15, 2009, at 1:00 p.m., at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, Ky., with the Clergyman Arnold Turner, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Ky., with the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Ky., caring for those arrangements. Visitation is after 6:00 p.m., Friday at the Funeral Home.
