Cordelia (Brainard) Thomas was the daughter of Calvin and Sarah (Brainard) Brainard . She was the sister of Rev. Claudius Brainard and Rev. John Calvin Brainard. They were both ministers in the Genesee Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Cordelia was the wife of Rev. Dr. Eleazer Cady Thomas. They were married September 6, 1838. Rev. Thomas was a minister in the Genesee Conference and California Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died April 11, 1873.
