Miss Clark was born in New Milford June 19, 1918, a daughter of the late William J. and Helen McMahon Clark. She had lived at 19B Summit Drive.
She graduated from New Milford High School, Class of 1939, and the former Danbury State Teacheres College and later received a master's degree from the University of Connecticut.
She was a faculty member at the former Main Street School in New Milford for many years and later the supervisor of reading for New Milford Public Schools before retiring in 1977.
After retiring, she volunteered at St. Joseph's School in Brookfield, New Milford Hospital and with the American Red Cross blood bank. She was a member of the Retired Teachers of Litchfield County and the Association of Retired Teachers of Connecticut, as well as Our Lady of the Lakes Church and the Confraternity of the Rosary.
Miss Clark is survived by two brothers, John L. Clark and Morris L. Clark both of New Milford; three sisters, Margaret Cline of Batavia, NY, Helen C. Palardy of Danbury and Mary C. Smith of Brookfield; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday at Our Lady of the Lakes Church. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, New Milford in the spring.
The Lillis Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
