Mr. Jerry C. Allums, age 61, of Bogata died Tuesday, June 19, 2001, in Red River Health Care Center in Bogata.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21 under the pavilion of Cuthand Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to services.
Mr. Allums was born Jan 7, 1940, in Johntown, the son of George and Josie Patton Allums. He was a retired horticulturist.
He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Christian Allums of Temple City, California, a stepdaughter, Ronda Ireland of Rockford, Michigan, one sister, Kay Legate and her husband Galen, of Bogata, four brothers, Marcus Allums and his wife Shirley of Bogata, Harold Allums and his wife, Martha of Tyler, Rex Allums of Bogata and Billy Allums and his wife, Linda of Big Sandy, and a grandson, David Allums of Temple City, California.
He was preceded in death by a son, Shaun Allums earlier this year.
