Mrs. Birtie E. Andrews, 92, of Fayetteville died May 10 at a Fayetteville hospital. She was born July 25, 1893, at Spring Valley, daughter of William E. and Rebecca V. Fitch Morriss. She was the widow of Cullen Andrews, who died in 1927. She was a lifetime resident of the area. She moved to Fayetteville from Hindsville in 1953. She was a homemaker and had been a member of the Buckeye Regular Primitive Baptist Church for more than 70 years.
Survivors include one son, Buren M. Andrews of Hindsville; one daughter, Helen P. Andrews of Fayetteville; one brother, Bruce Morriss of Mayfield; and one sister, Nola B. Morriss of Fayetteville, and one grandson, Paul T. Andrews of Hindsville.
Services will be at 2p.m. Tuesday at Buckeye Regular Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Clarice Barron and the Rev. Eddie Samuels officiating. Burial will be at Buckeye Cemetery. Arrangements are by Moore’s Chapel of Fayetteville.
Pallbearers will be Clifford Cline, Kenneth Campbell, Vernon Williams, Ewen Easterling, C.G. Mason, and Ernest Buchanan.
Memorials may be made to the Buckeye Cemetery Fund.
