Doyle was born in Tallahassee and lived there most of his life, until he enlisted in the Marines 10
January 1964, at a Jacksonville Recruiting Office.
Doyle arrived in Vietnam and was assigned to Headquarters Company, 11th Engineer Battalion, 3rd Marine Division. Returning back to home base Doyle accidentally fell out of the back of a truck that he was riding in and was run over by a Navy vehicle, and died as a result of massive internal abdominal bleeding and head laceration. He was on his second tour of Vietnam.
Doyle was single and served his country for 4 years.
Tour of duty unknown.
Survived by his father and stepmother, Rupert Wells Reeves of 1234 North Bronough Street, Tallahassee and his sister, Joyce Reeves of Route #6, Tallahassee, Florida and 2 married sisters, Mrs. Cleo Estes, Vonro Deloah and a brother, Vernon Reeves who served in the US Marines.

His mother, Etta Lee (Joyner) Reeves died during1963.
