Known as "Temperance Bill", Bill was a water prospector, or well driller, and freight carrier. On the 1880 Census, he had been living in Signal, Mojave Co. AZ. At the time of his death, he had been living in the Wickenburg Area, Maricopa Co. AZ for 40 years. Bill never married.
Information from the death certificate indicates that Bill died in Aguila and is assumed he is buried at Eagle Eye Cemetery, the headstone has not been located.
