Sarah Ann Springer is the daughter of Samuel Springer (1811-1888) and Sarah Waite.

She married first George Foy who died in the Civil War.
She married second to Thomas H. Barrickman. Sarah and Thomas had the following children: Mary L. 1864-1897 married Henry Siebert; Samuel J. L. 1866-1935; Elizabeth A. 1868-1953 married Henry E. Charles; Minnie Matilda 1871-1904 married David R. McPherson; Sarah Ellen 1873-1941 married 1st Miller V. Woodrow, second Harry Alderman; Martha Margaret 1879-1961 married Homer Warren Woods; Jeannette C. 1881-1931 married William Peter Broadfoot; Beulah M. 1883-1973 married first unknown Davison, second Clarence Hugan, third John Gerloch.

Obituary:
Mrs. Sarah A. Barrickman, aged 65 years, died at her late home of East Tenth avenue, Monday at 12:30 o`clock a.m., of pneumonia. She has been a resident of Tarentum for the past 15 years, coming to Tarentum from Butler county.
Deceased was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and was well known here.
She is survived by the husband, Thomas Barrickman; one son and five daughters; Samuel J., Mrs. Henry Charles, Mrs. Homer W. Woods, Mrs. Clarence Hughan, of Tarentum; Mrs. William Broadfoot, of Brackenridge; Mrs. Miller V. Woodrow, of Scotts Bluff, Neb., two brothers, Thomas Springer of Oil City; William Springer of London, OH., and one sister, Mrs. Foy, of Butler; twenty-one grandchildren and two great grandchildren, also survive.
Funeral services will be held from the late residence Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment later in Prospect cemetery.
