Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Delbert John Weaver, 63, passed away June 1, 1998 following an extended illness.

Born October 16, 1934 in Brigham City, Utah to Ezra and Lillie Bate Weaver.

He married Charlene Johnson on August 1st, 1952 in the Logan LDS Temple.

He owned and operated the World of Sew for 44 years.

Active member LDS church served as Bishop's Counselor, Ward Missionary in Millcreek Stake and numerous other callings.

Was a sewing machine retail Hall of Fame recipient. Received numerous "Top Dealer" awards from Elna Sewing Machine Co. and was the regions #1 dealer for the past eight years.

Coached Little League Football and loved to hunt with his son and grandsons and was anxiously awaiting his grandson Nicks' mission call.

Survived by wife; daughter - Debbi (Tom) Romero, SLC; son - Kevin D. (Terri) Weaver, SLC; seven grandchildren - Brandon (Charise), Kyle, Quinton, Jessika, Nick, Natalie, Malarie; mother - Lillie Hadley; five sisters - Gayle (Ned) Hansen, Bonnie Jean (Brad) Campbell, Beverly (Phil) Wheelright, Nedra (Wynn) Wright, Kathy (Gary) Manning.

Preceded in death by father, two brothers and a granddaughter Rochelle.

Funeral Service Thursday, June 4, 1998, 12 noon, Lincoln Heights, 601 E. 3900 So.

Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State and Thursday from 11-11:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment - Murray City Cemetery.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and by the sewing machine industry.
