Edith M. Modesitt, 82 of Terre Haute died at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, April 22 2003 in Westridge Healhtcare Center. She was a life long homemaker. She was born May 5, 1921 in Vigo County to Edward Myers and Emma Shorter Myers. Her husband, Melvin Modesitt, died in 1988. Survivors include on daughter, Wanda Taylor of Seelyville, one grandson, Paul Godsey and his wife, Suzanne and one great grandson, Londan Godsey. She attended Wesleyan Church in Seelyville and was a member of Wabash Senior Citizens and Glenn Civic Center. Services are 10 a.m. Friday in Callahan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bobby Slagle officiating. Burial is in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitiation is 4 to 6 p.m. today.
