December 16, 1940 Mrs. Rhoda Sansom, 73 year old resident ofChesapeake, died Saturday night after a long illness at her home. Funeral services were to be held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the residence of Rev. James Herald officiating and burial was to follow in Marmet cemetery. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. S.G. Damron of South Charleston, Mrs. Elva Lovejoy of Charleston and Sylvia Sansom of Chesapeake, and three sons, E.W. of Morrisdale, D.C. of Van and E.S. Sansom of Charleston. The Owen and Barth morturary was to have charge of rites.

You have to understand just because your family called a said person one name dose not meen that she dosen't have an AKA on another said of the family. When The Adkins was very much a part of thier lifes.This is what our family called her also not just my Great Grandmother. Its sorta like Changing the Census. Its like Sylva was Sylvia and Elvia was Elva in the census. Even My own mothers name was writen Sylva instead of Sylvia, when fileing for her death Cert# I was spelling it wrong according to Vital Satistics. Our family called Sylvia Sansom "Shelve" and Elsia Sansom "Elva". That don't make it thier names per say, but that is exactly how we find who were looking for.

If we keep changing what some one else grew up with they will never find who they are looking for. Luetta's Mother was Louisa Alice Linville who married James M Abbott, not to get confused with Albert's sister Louisa who married William A Abbott. She was the sister to Rhoda's father Alamander Linville. But yet again she still might be the daughter of Albert Ross is why they raised her. One never knows about an afair or a marriage that we don't know about. My grand father did the same thing. Rhoda in 1900 says that she had 6 children 5 still living. In 1910 she said she had 10 children 8 still living, One child died and luetta was possibly sent packing and disowned because Rhoda is not claiming her in 1910 as living. As it wasn't uncommnn for people to take one out of the books when they did not see there ways. Witch might explain why there were no notes for her. Something went wrong
