Genealogy records and some Cemetery books record him being buried in the Hillside Mission Cemetery where I originally placed him. However, Pam Redmond has found an article about Sol and Roxanne Abbot and it states that Sol is buried in Collinsville so since she was just given the info last weekend(24 Mar 2012) she called Collinsville Ridgelawn and talked to Sharon 371-1010 (her ext is 2023), she said she has an S M Abbott age 88yrs old buried there and his death date is Jan 25 1940 buriel was on Jan 27 1940, he has no headstone probably why he was never entered into FAG. He's in westridge block 3 lot 9 space 7 next to his mother Sarah A Abbott. Therefore, even with the slight age difference and date of death difference, I have moved him to the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Rich

Further information from Pam Redmond on Sol.
Sol M Abbott funeral record, remains shipped to Collinsville. Birth date of April 21, 1852 born in ILL. and death date Jan 25, 1940 at 7 a.m. place of death at his home called Hillside. This could be where all the confusion occurred on his burial location. (Resided in the State of ---HILLSIDE) AGE 87 yrs,9 mths, 4 days. Has his cause of death Bronchial Pneumonia
-------------------------------------

In 1937, Sol participated in interviews which captured early pioneer life, experiences amongst the Osage, Cherokee, and Shawnee. He has written a 400-something page manuscript, which went into detail of his journey, difficulty of passage, method for crossing streams, and no civilization. He hoped the State Historical Society would want it and had hopes of having it published. At the time, it was going to cost $700.00. He built the Star House in 1882 with the help of Harvey Big Fox. Mrs Abbott gave a bed from Illinois, once belonged to his mother, and a handmade cradle to the state society. In 1937, Sol was living in the dilapitated Hillside Mission and caring for the Hillside Mission Cemetery.
