At Sandwich, DeKalb county, Ills., May 12th, 1876, Sister Emeline Banta, wife of Elder E. Banta, aged 48 years, 7 months, and 2 days.

Sr. Banta, was born in the town of Bath, Steuben county, N. Y., October 10th, 1826, obeyed the gospel in 1865, and lived consistently trying for the crown to the end of her life. She was loved by her family, and is sincerely mourned.

Funeral services by Elder W. W. Blair, assisted by Elder J. Smith.
