Barbara Ann Buechner nee Pflueger was born Dec 28, 1822, in Schroedsberg, Oberamt, Gerebromm, Wuertemberg, in Germany, coming to this country in 1831, locating with her parents in Holmes County, Ohio. Married in 1840 to Martin Ludwig Schumm and moved to Schumm, Ohio. This union had nine children- Elizabeth now Mrs. Frederick Schinnerer, Mary now deceased, who married Martin Schinnerer, Henry, Jacob now deceased, Rosina 2nd wife of Martin Schinnerer of Los Angeles Calif., J.C., and Louis J., Hannah now Mrs. C.F. Germann and George now deceased. Mr. Schumm died in 1855. 2nd married to Adam John Buechner in 1861, deceased March 11,1885. This union had two children-Marguerite now Mrs. F.G. Kreiselmeyer, of Ft. Wayne Ind., and W.A. Buechner, Survivors: four sons, four daughters, three son-in-law, three daughter-in-law, two stepsons, one sister Mrs. Jacob Bienz. Funeral services were held at Zion Lutheran Church at Schumm, Ohio Nov 16, 1908. Interment in church cemetery.
