He is survived by son, Donnie (Wilma) Balentine, Greenhill, Ala.; daughters, Willie Bell (Charles) Clemons, Alice (Frank) Holden, Sybil (Harlon) Clemons, Carolyn (Larry) Kelley, all of Greenhill, Ala.; brothers, John Balentine and Tollie Balentine, both of Lexington, Ala., Hollie Balentine, St. Florian, Ala.; sister, Opal Aday, Tuscumbia, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
He was a native of Lauderdale County and was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Balentine; daughter, Linda Joyce Balentine; brothers, Garrett and Hassell Balentine; sister, Nettie Ledlow; and great-grandson, Justin Holden.
Pallbearers are Greg, Mike and Chris Clemons, Tony and Tommy Holden, Jamie Kelley, Chad Balentine and Jeffrey Stutts.
