Walden, Carrie Lee – 80, of Etowah, passed away late Tuesday evening at her home. She was a native or Campbell County, former resident of Alcoa, and had resided in Etowah for the past 18 months. Mrs. Walden was a member of the Alcoa First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Walden; and parents, Charles and Nancy Bell Roddy. Survivors: two sons and daughter-in-law, Gary and Brenda Walden, Etowah, Tenn., O. Mack and Malinda Walden, Bedford, Texas; grandchildren, Shannon and Roger Webb, John Walden, Dana Walden, Gant and Natalie Walden; one great-grandchild, Luke Webb; one sister, Louella Michaels, Miamisburg, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home, Rev. Michael Lester presiding. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Alcoa, Tenn. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Music Department at the North Etowah Baptist Church, 200 Pennsylvania Avenue, Etowah, TN 37331.
