The daughter of Iven H. Hensley and Bernice Compere Hensley, she was born January 18, 1928, in Morrilton, AR. She married Robert M. Bradfield in Nacogdoches, TX, on June 24, 1950.
She earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Colorado in 1949. She graduated from Boulder High School in 1945. Mrs. Bradfield moved to Boulder in 1944 from Waco, TX. She volunteered at Boulder Community Hospital for 25 years, logging more than 5,500 hours of service. In 1985, she was chosen as the hospital's volunteer of the year. Mrs. Bradfield was a Cub Scout den mother and was awarded the Gold Key Awards. She was a member of P. E. O. Chapter CB in Boulder for 50 years, and served as president for seven terms. She also served as secretary of the Colorado Civil War Roundtable. Survivors include her husband of Boulder; a daughter, Nancy Bradfield Valentine of Erie, (CO), a son, Rick Bradfield of Waco, (TX), and one grandson. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the University Lutheran Chapel, 1202 Folsom St., Boulder, with the Rev. Robert E. Stuenkel officiating. A reception will follow at the chapel.
