John Edward Beavers was born August 25, 1883 in Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia, and died May 18, 1957 in Villa Rica, Carroll County, Georgia. He was the son of John Hamilton and Eugenia Josephine Moore Beavers and the grandson of Henry Ransom and Mary Parks Beavers.

He married (1) Athie J. Frasier January 24, 1904, daughter of James and Louise Frasier. She was born March 29, 1877 in Paulding County, Georgia, and died September 16, 1917 in Paulding County, Georgia and is buried at New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery, Paulding County, Georgia.

He married (2) Nancy Sarah Ann Bundrum February 24, 1918 in Paulding County, Georgia. She was the daughter of William Jacob and Canzada Ann Sinyard Bundrum. She was the granddaughter of James B. and Mary Butts Bundrum, and Simpson and Sarah Ann Whitlow Sinyard. In addition to caring for Athie's three children, she had eight more children.

She was born March 10, 1888 in Paulding County, GA, and died October 27, 1973 in Villa Rica, Carroll County, Georgia. She is buried at Friendship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Paulding County, Georgia.
