Benjamin was in Rowan County (now Guilford County, N.C.) in "Granville Land Grants" 1743-1763.
A survey given for Bryan Rorke for 640 acres in Rowan County, N.C. on both sides of the Alamance.
It lists as Survey Chain Carriers (SCC), Thomas Landreth and Benjamin Landreth. The survey was made 21 April 1762.

Benjamin moved to VA between 1762 and 1768.
He is found in Henry County, VA. Deed Book, pp. 410-411.
John Marr of Henry County, VA. to Benjamin Landreth of same for sixty pounds sells land on both sides Ararat Creek containing 200 acres, being part of his order of council claimed by Bill; this is the land whereon Benjamin Landreth now lives. Dated 12 May 1788.
(That part of Henry County is now Patrick County, VA.)
