Mrs. Nancy S. Taylor, 69, Blackater, died at 10:30 a.m. February 25 at the Marymount
Hospital following a stroke. She had been ill for two months.
A native of Clay County, Mrs. Taylor was born Sept. 9, 1896, the daughter of Daniel and
Bell Sasser, Gray. She was twice married: first in 1914 in Pulaski County to S. Frank
Sasser, who died in 1933; and secondly in 1942 in Laurel County to Sam Taylor,
who died in 1949.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Blackwater Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters and three sons:
Mrs. Earl "Gladys" Jackson, London;
Mrs. Henry "Geneva" Sasser and
Joe and Clifford Sasser, both of Blackwater;
and Delmas Sasser, Wayne, MI;
one sister, Lizzie Sasser, Grays, KY; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. February 27 at the Rawlings Funeral Home
by the Rev. Lowell Gilbert. Interment followed in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily.
