Mrs. Barngrover died of causes related to age Wednesday in a Tualatin hospital. She was 91.
She was born Teresa Bollinger on Nov. 18, 1900, in Cambridge, Idaho, and moved to Tualatin from Portland in 1928. She worked as a cook for the Tualatin Grade School for a number of years until she retired in 1952. Her husband, Fire Chief William Barngrover, founder of the Tualatin Fire Department, died in 1970.
Survivors include her daughters, Harriet Andrews of Eugene, and Dolores Nelson and Nita Conover of Tualatin; sons, Bill McLaughlin of Stevenson, Wash., and Harvey McLaughlin of Portland; sister, Barbara Roy of Pendleton; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
