He was born in Albemarle County on Nov. 27, 1905, a son of the late Charles Preston and Mary Kinzer Dudley. He was a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary S. Dudley.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James (Violet) Harding of Crozet; six sons, George Dudley and Charles Dudley, both of Waynesboro, Joe Dudley and Allen Dudley, both of Charlottesville, Cosby Dudley of Saluda, N.C., and James Dudley of West Germany; two sisters Dorothy Wolford and Lillian Lane, both of Charlottesville; two brothers, Andrew Dudley of Waynesboro and John Dudley of Charlottesville; 22 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Teague Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Vernon R, Berry. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
